Exploring the five top storylines in the NBA as training camp approaches

The NBA season is quickly approaching, with just three weeks until teams report for training camp and just under six weeks until the regular season officially tips off Tuesday, October 22nd.

Following a bizarrely chaotic and entertaining offseason, in which we saw multiple All-NBA players traded, teaming up in new cities, one aging superstar apparently “blackballed” (I didn’t say who), and a dynasty come to an end, this upcoming season should be one of the most exciting and wide open in recent memory.

For the past five years, the Golden State Warriors have been the cream of the NBA, reaching the NBA Finals all five years while winning three titles, and presumably a fourth if not for injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson (Sorry Toronto fans, you know it’s true).

While at times exciting, the lack of parity bestowed upon the league at the hands of the Warriors, not to mention LeBron James historic run of eight straight finals appearances, four with the Miami Heat and four with the Cleveland Cavaliers, has NBA fans have been clamoring for new blood.

While not every team vying for league supremacy will be new to the party, such as the Lakers, Celtics, and 76ers, many teams such as the Bucks, Clippers, and Rockets will be looking to be the last man standing and join the league’s elite. So with that being said, let’s take a look five top storylines heading into training camps.
