Which NBA contender has the best shot at winning it all this upcoming season?

For the past five seasons, there has been one team who, every year, were the overwhelming favorites to win the NBA championship. I’m talking of course about the Golden State Warriors.

Now the monopoly they once had has crumbled. Thanks to Kevin Durant‘s inevitable departure and Klay Thompson‘s ACL injury, the Dubs are no longer an unbeatable basketball machine and that has opened the floodgates to a new wave of hopeful title contenders.

Thanks to the craziness of the offseason and the sheer number of star players who opted to change teams this summer, we now have nine teams, each with legitimate cases to make for why they are the team to beat in this upcoming NBA season.

The superteams era is seemingly coming to an end and in this new era of superstar duos, which squad is best-suited to triumph above the rest? Today, we’ll take a look at these nine contenders and make a case for why each is in with a shot at the Larry O’Brien trophy.
