5. Milwaukee Bucks

It’s scary to think that the Milwaukee Bucks can learn from last year and improve on it. This being a year that saw them rack up the most regular-season wins of any team (60) and make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. And this being a team that has the reigning coach of the year in Mike Budenholzer as well as the reigning MVP in Giannis and you see why this should be scary for the rest of the league.

Let’s start with the Greek Freak.

Rarely do we see an MVP who still has a lot of room to grow but that is the case with Giannis Antetoknoumpo. The one real weakness in his game is his jump shot and he’s come out and said that improving it has been the main focus of his this offseason.

If Giannis can come back with a more reliable jump shot this season, I feel it’s almost a foregone conclusion that he will win his second straight MVP, but more than that, it will make the entire Bucks team even tougher to take down in the postseason.

It will be a tough task for Milwaukee, replacing the production of guys like Nikola Mirotic and Malcolm Brogdon, whom they lost this summer but this is when playing in the Eastern Conference can be of benefit. Also, the Bucks’ front office has proven at this point, that they are committed to surrounding Giannis with the necessary talent to compete for a title so if they’re not where they want to be, expect them to be a team looking to make moves at the deadline.
