Los Angeles Lakers: 7 players to target using their disabled player exception
Ryan Anderson
The Dwight Howard experiment is something everyone will be keeping a close eye on, but whether it ends up working out or not, Anthony Davis will almost have to slide to the 5 position throughout various stretches of a 48-minute game, particularly during crunch time.
And when the game is on the line, I’m not sure how much the Lakers are going to want Howard roaming the floor, flanking LeBron James and AD. That’s where signing a player like Ryan Anderson, a proven stretch-big, can offer value.
Having Anderson play the four position will undoubtedly hurt the Lakers team defensively, as it was most evident during his time in Houston, but one thing LeBron has always loved is floor spacing (Davis does seem to enjoy recruiting ex-teammates as well).
And as good old coach Thibs once said:
"“In today’s NBA, you can never have enough shooting.”"
