In this week’s NBA news roundup, we highlight a few stories as training camp gets underway

LeBron looking forward to playing with AD

LeBron James is putting in that work for the Los Angeles Lakers after not being able to make last season’s playoffs for the first time since he was a sophomore year in the NBA.

While working on his new project, Space Jam 2, which will possibly be released next summer, LeBron James, along with Anthony Davis, has had several workouts and weight lifting sessions in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After spending his hard-working days in training, LeBron is encouraged and motivated to win another championship with the Lakers, a franchise that has missed the playoffs six straight seasons.

According to the Lakers’ general manager, Rob Pelinka believes that King James and Anthony Davis will have an active role in leading the Lakers to the NBA championship. Pelinka went on to say that he has had several communications with LeBron and Davis since July. One conversation involved being in agreement with LeBron and Davis relating to bringing in Dwight Howard to the Lakers squad.

Rob Pelinka made it perfectly clear that LeBron James is incredibly locked into the whole process as he continues to keep putting that work in.

How do you feel about how LeBron James and Anthony Davis will perform for the Lakers this upcoming season?

Kyrie Irving sticks up for Kevin Durant

During the Brooklyn Nets‘ Media Day, Kyrie Irving might’ve/maybe/perhaps took a jab at the Golden State Warriors.

Kyrie was asked many questions during Media Day, but the one question that stood out the most was when he was asked about his feedback on Kevin Durant’s Achilles injury.

Kyrie Irving ended his statement by saying that he will do whatever it takes to not only protect KD’s reputation as an NBA Star, but Kyrie will also make sure that KD doesn’t go through a similar situation in Brooklyn as he did with the Warriors.

About a week ago, a report was made that KD could possibly return to the court this season. However, KD made it known at Media Day that when the Nets’ General Manager, Sean Marks, mentions KD’s return, it’s not coming from Sean Marks. It’s coming from Kevin Durant himself.

So Kevin Durant is now at the point where he wants to let the media know that anything that is said about him will come from him only. How do you feel about Kyrie Irving sticking up for his new teammate?
