NBA Rumors: According to a report, it appears that Andre Iguodala would like to find his way to one of the two Los Angeles teams
Andre Iguodala is technically a member of the Memphis Grizzlies at the moment, but is not currently with the team as preseason gets underway and the regular season inches closer. Iguodala was traded to the Grizzlies during the offseason as the Golden State Warriors scrambled to complete a sign-and-trade for D’Angelo Russell.
Nevertheless, the Grizzlies are hoping to trade Iguodala before they are forced to buy him out which would be the ideal move for Iguodala himself. At this point in his career, he’d much rather choose where he plays the season, rather than just being shipped to a randon team that may or may not be playing meaningful basketball this season.
And in the event that Iguodala, at some point this season, gets to choose his next landing spot, it will reportedly be for one of the two Los Angeles teams – the Lakers or Clippers, two teams that actually got a bit of a facelift this offseason.

"[via ESPN]“It’s the two LA teams. It’s the Lakers and it’s the Clippers. If there is a buyout at some point and if Memphis can’t trade him, that’s where that will come down to those two teams”"
The Lakers traded the core of their young talent from last year to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. Any additional rotation pieces they can add at this point in the season would be a huge shot in the arm. Not to mention that one of their weak spots is their perimeter defense.
There’s no question that Iguodala would be an ideal fit next to the likes of LeBron James and AD in Los Angeles. As for the Clippers, the addition of Iguodala would create quite the depth behind Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
To put how big of a power move adding Iguodala would be, the Clippers would have three above average perimeter defenders that they could throw at LeBron during a playoff series. Including a scenario where they could throw – or save – George and Kawhi on some other player for stretches during a game.
While it’s unlikely for Andre Iguodala to land on a new team anytime soon, there’s no question that he could be the key to the Lakers or Clippers coming out of the Western Conference.
