After a week of NBA preseason action, we take a closer look at the five rookies that have stood out among the rest

The NBA preseason is well underway, and the recently drafted rookies are in the midst of transitioning their talents from the collegiate level to the professionals.

In recent years, a multitude of players has burst on to the scene in their first NBA season. Players such as Donovan Mitchell, Luka Doncic, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, Trae Young, and Ben Simmons. This – once deemed – “weak” draft class has showcased some of the same traits that the aforementioned athletes possessed early on. That being, an established NBA-ready game.

Over the past week, there have been flashes of star potential along with some impressive displays of pro-like ability from the 2019 draftees.

With that being said, five first-year pros have stood out amongst the rest as we enter the second week of preseason action. Let’s take a look at the most impressive rookies thus far.
