Breakout candidate: Matisse Thybulle

For a team with one of the most talented rosters in the NBA, and arguably the best starting 5 in the league, it would be tough to see any of their “other” players have a true, by definition, breakout season in 2019-20. Though, if one player is set up for it might be Matisse Thybulle.

Thybulle will find minutes based on his natural defensive abilities. He could walk into the NBA and make an All-Defensive team. He’s that good on that end of the floor. However, with the amount of talent that the Philadelphia 76ers have on its roster, Thybulle won’t have to do much to really have a true impact on the game.

Offensively, Thybulle could just fall in and have somewhat of a breakout season for a player that was taken late in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft.
