Chicago Bulls

Breakout candidate: Otto Porter Jr.

If you watched any Chicago Bulls games during the latter portion of last season, perhaps this isn’t exactly as bold of a prediction as you might think. However, there’s no question that Otto Porter Jr. remains the most likely candidate for a breakout season in 2019-20 for the Bulls.

After being traded to the Bulls, Porter averaged 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists to go along with 48 percent shooting from the field and 49 percent shooting from 3-point range. While much of his uptick in production could be credited to an expanded role with Chicago, the efficiency numbers are really what should have Chicago fans excited.

Porter could become a household name in the NBA this season, and if he does there’s a very good chance that the Bulls end up shaping into that dark horse Eastern Conference team that many are expecting them to be – health permitting – this season.
