7. Golden State Warriors

If Klay were healthy, the Dubs would be right in the thick of the title discussion. But now Steve Kerr has come out and said it’s unlikely that he’ll play at all this year which is a pretty big blow, especially considering Golden State’s depth problem.

Outside of their starting five, it’s unclear who’s going to be able to give them any real production off the bench (aside from Kevon Looney).

They do still have Draymond who could be in for a huge year. D’Angelo Russell is a nice addition and he should fit in nicely to the Dubs offense. And don’t forget, they still have Steph Curry, who is preparing to shoulder the biggest offensive load of his career this season.

It may not lead to as many wins as in years past but I think we should expect to see some crazy numbers from Curry this year.

And with these lowered expectations, who knows? Maybe they’ll surprise some people.
