With the first month of the NBA season in the books, we look back at what transpired in October and make some predictions for November

October is undeniably the best sports month. The MLB playoffs go into full swing (baseball pun), the NFL and college football are well underway, and of course, the NBA season is just over a week old. I also think the NHL is happening but I usually don’t know that hockey has started until they have a video of a toothless guy playing through 14 broken bones and a minor heart attack go viral and I haven’t seen that yet so I’m not sure what’s going on out on the ice.

You get my point though, sports are fun right now.

With all of these great sporting events going on, it’s easy to put the NBA on the back burner until the others slow down. If this describes you, then consider me your resource to help give you the CliffsNotes on the first week and change of the regular season as well as some things to look for as we head into November.

Additionally, this is going to be a recurring monthly recap so whether you’re part of the dreaded “basketball doesn’t start until Christmas” crowd or are just a casual fan then be sure to check back at the end of each month for some recap and predictions. And with that shameless plug, let’s get into a very eventful first month (week) of the NBA season.
