The real booker

Devin Booker has been the Suns’ leader and best player for the past few seasons but now, he seems ready to lead a winning team.

He’s looked a lot more comfortable in his role so far which doesn’t require him to always have the ball in his hands.

Last year, he had to play a lot of point guard and despite showing some legitimate playmaking chops, it just isn’t his natural position. Which is why I think he’s thriving playing with Rubio at the point.

What that allows Booker to do is simply focus on scoring, which is what he does best anyway. So far, he’s shooting around 49 percent from the field and 47 percent from 3 and if he can keep up this career-high efficiency (maybe not 47% shooting from deep though), he could be in line for his first all-star appearance this year.

And having a guy who can just go and get you a bucket against any type of defense makes Phoenix that much more dangerous.
