Kawhi Leonard stiff-arming the Lakers

Entering the offseason, after the dismantling of the Golden State Warriors in which Kevin Durant elected to skip town, the big concern league-wide was whether Kawhi Leonard would join LeBron James and Anthony Davis in LA and destroy any chance we’d have at fun during the 2019-20 NBA season.

Thankfully, Kawhi did eventually choose the “other” Los Angeles team to team up with Paul George, who was traded to the team shortly after Kawhi announced his decision to sign with the Clippers. Even though that is a strong dynamic duo, it’s not the lethal Big Three that he could’ve created with the Lakers.

The fallout also includes the revival of a strong rivalry between the Lakers and Clippers that could eventually feature a playoff matchup later this season, possibly in the Conference Finals. Kawhi Leonard vs. LeBron James? Sign me up.
