30. New York Knicks (4-19)

Even though this shouldn’t come as a surprise, this is certainly a disappointing development. The New York Knicks weren’t supposed to be the worst team in the NBA for a second straight season. But here we are.

And now, the Knicks have fired David Fizdale, who emerged recently as the scapegoat for the organization. The Knicks have some nice young pieces on their roster but this franchise is a longs way away from competing again.

29. Golden State Warriors (5-19)

If you would have told me that the Golden State Warriors would be the second-worst team in the league through the first 20 games of the NBA season, I wouldn’t laughed you out of the room. Nevertheless, much like the Knicks, here we are.

In fairness, much of the Warriors’ disappointment this season has come due to injury. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson could both be out for the season and Draymond Green has missed games too. The Warriors, after losing Kevin Durant, are clearly going through a few growing pains.

But if this all results in a top 5 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, perhaps the Warriors returning to prominence isn’t all that far off.
