6. OG Anunoby, Toronto Raptors

Drafted 23rd by the Toronto Raptors, OG Anunoby has gotten better every season. Anunoby is a lengthy wing player, and he’s becoming the widely coveted 3-and-D player that any team needs, shooting an incredible (although unsustainable) 42.7 percent from 3-point range, and defending better than he has in his short career.

Anunoby doesn’t have the usage rate or finishing ability that his teammate Pascal Siakam has, but he has the tools to become an All-Star.

5. John Collins, Atlanta Hawks

While we are all waiting to see if John Collins is on the same trajectory, or even the same player after he returns from a 25-game suspension handed down by the league for violation of their substance abuse policy, one thing is certain, Collins was on his way to becoming an All-Star. Averaging 17 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season, Collins was arguably the best big man of the 2017 draft.

Playing alongside Trae Young, Collins’s offensive production was comparable to the previous season, even though his usage rate had gone down. If PEDs were not the reason for Collins’s rise to stardom, hopefully, he can continue down the path to becoming a star in the league.
