The Denver Nuggets must avoid trading for Kevin Love at all costs. It would be a lose-lose, high-risk and low reward situation for the playoff-contending Nuggets squad
Cleveland Cavaliers forward and five-time all-star Kevin Love has been made available for trade by his team who seems to be going through a massive rebuild as they have been for the past two seasons.
Love has battled through injuries over the better part of the last year, and father time is still undefeated, so it comes as no surprise that Cleveland are looking to get as much back as possible for the 11-year NBA veteran.
One team that could potentially target Love is the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets have been experiencing a slump as of late, having lost three-straight games and five of their last six overall. So Denver being a potential landing spot for Love makes a ton of sense.

Denver is playing at a much different level this season compared to where they were last season. However, with that said, there’s no need for the Nuggets to trade away any of their key core pieces for an aging veteran (Love is 30).
It’s no secret they should be both buyers and sellers before the NBA trade deadline to better their chances of making a deep playoff push but Kevin Love is not the answer. Especially when Denver would be parting with their core players in return for the often-injured forward.
Although Kevin Love would make a great addition to a majority of teams around the league, Denver should stay as far away as possible if they really believe in their future success. It is rumored that Love has stated that he would much rather play in his home state of Oregon suiting up for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Kevin Love is averaging 15.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game on 43 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range. Indeed, It will be very interesting to see where the long-time walking double double ends up finishing this season and potentially his playing career. Expect this to be a hot topic around the league for the coming weeks or until/when he’s dealt.
