Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks are dominating the entire league in our NBA Sunday Social. How dominant have they been? The numbers are staggering.

This week, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks continued their domination of the entire league. Additionally, Luka Doncic made more history before sustaining an injury, Melo had another reunion, the Raptors honored Kawhi Leonard.

What are you waiting for? Check out the social highlights below:

Paying Homage to the late Harvey Pollack

When most people look at the picture, they think of Wilt Chamberlains infamous 100 photo captured the night he scored 100 points. When I saw this photo, I thought of the man who wrote the iconic 100 on that piece of paper on a night long ago. That man would be the Sixers late statistician Harvey Pollack.

Pollack never played nor coached in a single NBA game. However, his impact on helping revolutionize the game should not go unnoticed. Pollack coined the phrase triple-double, he was also the first to begin tracking, blocks, and separating offensive and defensive rebounds, among other statistical advances.

Melo Reunions Continue

Last week, Carmelo Anthony participated in a partial banana boat reunion. This week the result was not different.

Snitches Get Stitches

Chris Paul may know the rules of the game better than any other current player.

Luka’s World Domination Continues

The ascension of Luka Doncic has happened rapidly, and there is currently no end in sight for the Mavs rising starlet.

Impressive Company

Throw them a Rose

Derrick Rose is a good example of how a promising career can be derailed by a single injury. Rose tore his ACL tendon after winning MVP. It took him an enternity to return to his current level of play. Which is still far below where he once was, but his recent game-winner can help fans remember what could have been if Rose had never gotten hurt.

Team Photo of the Year

There is a seven-footer sitting on Santa’s lap. This photo requires no caption other than enjoy!

Rolling Bucks

It has been over one full calendar month since the Bucks dropped a game. During their now 18-game win streak, only eight victories have occurred within single-digits. Amid their run, Milwaukee strung together a four-game period where they defeated the Hornets, Knicks, Pistons, and Clippers by a combined 137 points. Over their last eight contests, Milwaukee’s average margin of victory is a staggering 23.9 points.

Touching on What Everyone is Talking About

The non-basketball related controversy of the week involved leading Grammy nominee Lizzo. Lizzo wore a thong to the Lakers contest versus the Timberwolves on December 8. A week later, everyone is still buzzing about her fashion choice.

The bottom line is this; there is nothing wrong with what she wore. It’s likely more people were wearing something similar inside Staples Center that night. She did not violate any wardrobe policy. Unless the clothing guidelines at Staples Center are adjusted, she and any other individual can wear a thong if they so, please.

Spoken Like a True Vet

This is a reaction only the Grind Father would have to today’s NBA defense. With that said, would Tony Allen be interested in coaching? A few teams could use a defensive maestro.

The Houston Rockets are in Trouble Defensively

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won six games, and they average 103.2 points per game. That number ranks 28th in the association. If the Rockets do not correct these troublesome defensive deficiencies between now and end of the season, not only will they not contend for a title, they will not advance beyond the first round.

This Would Be Impressive

Fred Katz of The Athletic is the NBA’s latest innovator. Somebody send this in a memo to all 30 teams, immediately!

Sometimes a tough Loss is exactly what a contender needs

Since suffering their worst loss of the year, courtesy of the rolling Bucks, the Clippers are 4-0. During their nice run LA’s margin of victory is 13.5 notably all four victories have transpired on the road.

*Update, the Clippers win streak has since been snapped by the Bulls, so I guess it’s back to the drawing board for Doc Rivers.

The Pinnacle of Class

Usually, when a player departs after winning a title, the former team presents their ring and moves on. The way the Raptors conducted the situation with Kawhi Leonard was unique, and more teams should try to recreate this elegant level of gratitude.

This is just where we are…

They are the best at being the worst.

An International TD

Doncic became the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double in the regular-season outside the United States.

Sam Presti is Not going to the Knicks

Every year the Knicks are rumored to get all the best front office executives, coaches, and free agents. None of this ever pans out, for the city still referred to as the basketball mecca for some reason.

Maybe Presti could leave the only franchise he has ever led to take over the Big Apple. Until that comes to fruition, these types of reports are just stuff and nothing.

Showing Their Age

The Bucks may be tied with the Lakers for the oldest roster in the NBA, but you wouldn’t know it from the above video. Although the overall roster age rounds out to the same number, there is one large variation between the Lakers and Bucks rosters.

James, LA’s best player will turn 36 in roughly two weeks. Whereas, Giannis Antetokounmpo just turned 25 nine days ago.

NBA Injuries are Becoming More Exotic

It is very peculiar the only part of his body Andre Drummond’s allergic reaction affected was his eye. Why not his lips, tongue, or even his throat? I am not calling bluff on the ailment. However, it is just a tad unusual.

Westbrook Doing What he Does Best

Russell Westbrook has put together some memorable contests inside the Amway Center. Such as this bank shot from the center-court logo to force OT or his 40-point triple-double he recorded during his MVP campaign. The above coast-to-coast slam is just the latest, on a long list of the Brodie’s impressive highlights inside the Magic’s gym.

Something Is Not Adding Up

Just take in what the above tweet points out, and ponder the question.

Interesting Fashion Statement

Enes Kanter ladies and gentlemen.

He Doesn’t Score All His Points at the Line

Perhaps playing with Westbrook again has inspired James Harden to make statements with his performance on the hardwood. Harden’s critics often scoff that the beard scores too many points at the line. Well, over the past two contests, Harden has scored 109 points and attempted only 11 free throws.

He’s Got a Point

The NBA is full of great coaches. It would be profoundly difficult to conclusively say who the best is. Making a case for Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is rather easy, he’s the second longest-tenured head coach in the NBA, a two-time champion, and his teams always compete.

Bam!

If he continues this level of play, Bam Adebayo could challenge for the NBA’s most improved player award.

In Good Company

It’s unlikely the Bucks, or Lakers for that matter break, or challenge Golden State’s 73-9 record. With that said, considering this is even up for debate is an impressive feat.

Injuries are not fun

Earlier in this writing, I said I don’t know what could stop Doncic. Unfortunately, the injury bug stopped Doncic.

Family First

Ending on a positive note, LeBron James watched his son take on his alma mater, and his joy was contagious.
