NBA Power Rankings: Giannis, Bucks prove they’re the team to beat

2. Los Angeles Lakers (24-5)

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers have dropped two games in a row, there’s no denying the fact that this team has the best top talent in the league. LeBron James and Anthony Davis create the best 1-2 punch in the league, and it’s looking more and more clear that the only team that will stop this team will be the lack of health.

If the Lakers are healthy, I’m not betting against this team.

1. Milwaukee Bucks (26-4)

After knocking off the Lakers in a huge matchup of West and East monsters, there’s no denying the fact that the Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites heading into the second third of the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo is hitting 3’s and this team is playing some superb defense.

If the Bucks remain on this pace, they should be the overwhelming favorites to emerge from the Eastern Conference and, quite possibly, the only team with a realistic shot of beating whichever team wins the West.
