16. Charlotte Hornets (13-18)

The Charlotte Hornets have certainly better than expected this season and a big reason why is Devonte’ Graham, who will like finish in the top 2 of the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year voting. Had it not been for Bam Adebayo, Graham would be the favorite to win the award. And he’s one of the biggest reasons why the Hornets have been one of the biggest surprises in the Eastern Conference this season.

They are currently in the 8th seed of the East, and it’ll be interesting to see if they can hold on as the season progresses.

15. Oklahoma City Thunder (14-14)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are another team that has been a surprise in the Western Conference. After the team traded Russell Westbrook and James Harden, many expected the Thunder to round out the bottom of the West.

However, that certainly hasn’t happened. The Thunder is in the top 8 of the West at the moment, and if the team doesn’t move Chris Paul you have to expect that this team will continue to be a factor as the playoffs approach.
