NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring the five best possible landing spots for Jrue Holiday in the event he is traded before the deadline
Individually, Jrue Holiday is having a fantastic season for the New Orleans Pelicans. He might not be on his way to the best statistical season of his career thus far, but he’s been extremely productive – averaging 20 points, five rebounds and 6.5 assists per game while shooting 44 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3-point range – for the team this season.
As far as team performance, the Pelicans have been everything but successful. New Orleans is 7-24 and has lost 15 of its last 16 games. The Pelicans are trending in the wrong direction and have the look of a team that will probably end up being big sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline.
And for a team that is in year one of its new rebuild, it would be wise for them to try and sell off some of its valuable veteran players. Jrue Holiday is exactly that, and, at the same time, quite possibly the one trade chip, who the team would realistically be open to moving, with the most return value.
To further move along this story, the Pelicans are also reportedly interested in shopping Holiday. At the very least, they’re open to the idea. And that’s good enough to get teams calling. It’s, at least, a possibility.
Assuming that it is and that there will be a robust trade market for the 29-year-old guard, we’ll explore the five best possible landing spots for Holiday as the trade deadline inches closer.
