Miami Heat
Since it was reported that the Pelicans were now open to listening to trade calls regarding Jrue Holiday, there hasn’t been a team more rumored to be interested than the Miami Heat. For one, they currently don’t have a healthy starting-caliber point guard – at this point in his career, Goran Dragic is better coming off the bench.
Justise Winslow is still a question mark and, even if the team made a move for Holiday, would most likely have to be included in the deal. Holiday could join the Heat and would be a great running mate next to Jimmy Butler. Both are extremely gifted defenders and can score the basketball with ease.
As is, the Heat are sitting in the top 4 of the Eastern Conference standings. Adding a player like Holiday could be the difference in the Heat making a deep playoff run vs. the team bowing out in the second round of the playoffs.
It could be costly, but it could be worth the gamble this season.
