Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are definitely a team to keep an eye on as the NBA Trade Deadline approaches. To a certain extent, they too have surpassed all expectations heading into this season.  After losing Kawhi Leonard in free agency, not many expected the Raptors to defend their title as the defending NBA Champions.

Although, through the first 30, or so, games, the Raptors have been extremely stingy and flat-out good. Toronto is 22-8 and sitting in a top 4 spot in the Eastern Conference. Pascal Siakam has picked up where he left off last season and is averaging 25 points, eight rebounds and nearly four assists per game this season.

Siakam has taken the leap to stardom, after a season in which he won the NBA’s Most Improved Player award, and is one of the biggest reasons why the Raptors have managed to remain a contender in the Eastern Conference.

With all that said, many believe that the Raptors are still a piece or two away from really beating a team like the Milwaukee Bucks in a seven-game series. Adding Jrue Holiday would give this team a player that could pick his spots on the offensive end and be a real difference-maker on the defensive side of the ball.
