The Pacers acquiring Malcolm Brogdon through a sign-and-trade

Malcolm Brogdon’s foot injury is still something to be concerned about. After all, it’s one of the reasons why his stock took a slight dip at the 2016 draft.

However, this season, with Victor Oladipo being out and now Brogdon serving as the primary ballhandler – unlike in Milwaukee where he mostly played off the ball to maximize Giannis’ and Bledsoe’s downhill abilities – he is averaging 18.7 points per game and is one of the primary scorers on this scrappy Pacers squad.

And on top of all, the Pacers are actually winning. Once Oladipo returns, Nate McMillan will have the luxury of having even more offensive options to become less predictable come playoff time. There’s no question the signing of Brogdon has paid off in a big way for Indiana.
