The Charlotte Hornets were mocked for their handling of Kemba’s departure as well as giving an inefficient Terry Rozier a $58 million deal this past summer. But at least to a certain extent, they made up for it based on the growth we have all seen from Devonte’ Graham.

Graham’s significant improvement has even led to him receiving consideration for the NBA’s Most Improved Player award this season. And if he doesn’t win it, there’s no question that he should finish in the top 3 of voting.

By James Borrego choosing to have Rozier slide to the two-guard position (Rozier has been able to shoot 39% on 3’s this year), Graham is now being given the necessary minutes and green light to flourish in what was initially Kemba’s spot.
