New Orleans Pelicans receives: Justise Winslow, Goran Dragic, the Miami Heat 2020 and 2021 first-round picks
This is the all-in move for the Heat. A starting lineup of Jrue Holiday, Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler, Marcus Morris and Bam Adebayo with Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Kelly Olynyk and Meyers Leonard coming off the bench is a championship contender. The time is now for the Miami Heat.
The Pelicans would come out pretty well from this trade too. They would get a nice young piece to pair with their already solid young core in Justise Winslow, an expiring contract in Goran Dragic AND two more first-round picks to add to their absolute war-chest of assets.
This seems like a no-brainer move for the Pelicans, who have the luxury of being sellers at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline.
