Dallas Mavericks receives: DeMar DeRozan

San Antonio Spurs receives: Tim Hardaway Jr. and Justin Jackson

This would be an amazing get for the Dallas Mavericks. DeRozan could be an incredible third-scoring option behind Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis and could certainly help propel Dallas into the upper echelon of teams in the Western Conference.

DeRozan is an incredible player off the ball and can still provide spacing despite his lack of a 3-point shot. Not only is DeRozan an awesome player off the ball, but he can also be an excellent primary ball-handler for when Luka sits or wants to play off the ball.

This trade for San Antonio also gives them a decent young wing in Justin Jackson and opens up more minutes for their young guards in Derrick White, Dejounte Murray, and Bryn Forbes. Not only that but it prevents them from needing to decide whether or not they want to pay DeRozan this summer.
