JJ Redick needs to be in the playoffs. He has never missed them in his entire career and that shouldn’t end now.
There is no reason for the Pelicans to keep Redick, especially if they trade away Jrue Holiday and getting a young player in Norm Powell and a second-round pick would be a solid return for the 35-year-old shooting guard.
If the Raptors are able to turn Norm Powell and Marc Gasol into Andre Drummond and JJ Redick that would be incredible. This would certainly position the Raptors to take a run at defending their title and would also set them up even better for the future.
