Feeling Jazzy: Utah is rolling right now
The Utah Jazz is on a 10-game winning streak and the offense is looking unstoppable in the loaded Western Conference
The Utah Jazz is on fire right now.
On the heels of a 10-game win streak, the Jazz is standing at 28-12 and tied for second in the Western Conference behind the Los Angeles Lakers. To put in perspective how great Utah has been during the first half of the season, this is their best record through 40 games since 1999.
Since struggling guard Mike Conley went down with a hamstring injury, the Jazz seemed to have flipped a switch.

Donovan Mitchell has been the most consistent player on the team throughout the whole season as he leads them with 24 points per game. Bojan Bogdanovic has been a lethal shooter, while the new addition of Jordan Clarkson has sparked some life off the bench.
However, the current win streak is in thanks in large part to the work of Joe Ingles and Rudy Gobert.
In the last 10 games, Ingles has been lights out from deep, shooting an outrageous 51.4 percent. He’s a big part of why the Jazz is second in the league in 3-point percentage over that span.
The dominance that Ingles possesses from outside is the same level that Gobert provides in the paint. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is on a torrid pace, shooting 67 percent from the field and averaging 15 rebounds in the last 10 games. What’s weird is that despite Gobert’s dominance on the glass, the whole team ranks in the bottom third in rebounds during this streak. Even over the whole season, he is the only player averaging more than five rebounds per game.
The defensive play from Gobert is pretty much all the Jazz need to keep them afloat throughout their win streak. During this span, Utah ranks in the top six in points, field goal percentage, turnovers, and plus/minus. Additionally, they have the best offensive rating and true shooting percentage.
They are just so dangerous offensively that it makes up for the fact that they have only true defensive stalwart.
Now a knock against their winning streak is that they have only played two teams currently in the playoff picture. Any team can rattle off wins when you are playing losing teams, which is true. The schedule has been a bit soft and they are 11-10 against playoff teams throughout the season.
The Utah Jazz does not care. Wins are wins. And they seem to do a lot of that lately.
