Minnesota Timberwolves acquire Malik Beasley, Juan Hernangomez, Evan Turner, Jarred Vanderbilt, and a first-round pick (from Atlanta via Brooklyn)
The Wolves sent away Robert Convington, mainly, in this four-team deal and one of their first-round picks that they received and landed Malik Beasley and Hernangomez along with a first-round pick.
Beasley and Hernangomez are two solid young pieces that could grow alongside this team’s rebuild, and should not be overlooked in this trade. Beasley has taken somewhat of a step back this season while taking on a lesser role in Denver, but is just 23 years old and has the potential to be an interesting player in a change of scenery.
The key here is the first-round pick that the Wolves received from Atlanta (via Brooklyn). It will likely end up being the best pick that was exchanged amongst the four teams.
