As NBA trade rumors continue to fly around, we explore eight bold predictions for deadline day

The NBA Trade Deadline is less than 48 hours away. While there are many whispers and reports pertaining to a few headlining players that could potentially be on the move in the coming hours, there’s really no scientific equation to predicting the trade deadline.

One thing that almost constantly holds true, though, is that one way or another, it will provide theatre on an otherwise boring Thursday afternoon. Which contenders will make big plays? Which lackluster teams will officially throw in the towel on the season and pivot to selling off key veterans?

This is the time of the year where we could see a fringe playoff team emerge into a real contender, in either conference or see a contender lose grasp on a potentially deep playoff run due to their inactivity at the deadline.

A little more than 24 hours away from the official NBA Trade Deadline, here are eight bold predictions for what could end up being a chaotic deadline day.
