6. Isiah Thomas (1984) ~ 21 points, 5 rebounds, 15 assists, 4 steals

In the NBA’s second All-Star Game to go into overtime, Isiah Thomas was the reason the Eastern Conference was able to overcome a 14-point halftime deficit. He might not have had the most points since Julius Erving put up 34, but Thomas was the unequivocal leader. Had he not have committed six turnovers, he might have been ranked higher on this list.

5. Magic Johnson (1992) ~ 25 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals

It is tough to have any conversation about the NBA All-Star Game without bringing up Magic Johnson’s performance in 1992. Having recently retired from the league amid his HIV diagnosis, Magic was ready to make this game his last opportunity to thank the fans for all the support he received.

He certainly did not disappoint. Among his usual no-look passes and graceful ability to get to the basket, Johnson was a perfect 3-3 from deep (including a memorable turnaround triple in the waning seconds). His seven turnovers could be overlooked this night, as Magic was able to go out on top.

4. Dwyane Wade (2010) ~ 28 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals

The 2010 All-Star Game provided the largest attendance in NBA history as over 108,000 people came to watch in Cowboys Stadium and boy oh boy did Dwyane Wade come to play. Before he was second fiddle to LeBron, he was one of the games greatest all-around players.

Shooting an incredibly efficient 12-16 from the field, Wade was active on both ends of the floor. His dual ability to facilitate the offense and play stellar defense (by All-Star Game standards) was the perfect reminder of just how great Wade was in his prime.
