From the flawless Milwaukee Bucks to a very surprising Miami Heat team, here are three talking points from the first half of the 2019-20 NBA campaign

It was an exciting first half of the NBA season, with many different players and teams making their mark.

The Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as one of the biggest favorites to take home the Larry O’Brien trophy this year with their NBA-best 46-8 record. Meanwhile, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are also proving they have what it takes to contend for a title. With the King and Anthony Davis leading the way, we could very well see LA take on Giannis and the Bucks in the NBA Finals in the coming months.

Two other teams in the East have also impressed, with Jimmy Butler bringing the Miami Heat back to relevance, along with huge contributions from rookies Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro, among others. The defending champions, the Toronto Raptors, look to be enjoying life without Kawhi Leonard, going on a 15-game winning streak just before the All-Star Break. The Raps are currently 40-15, which is second in the Eastern Conference.
