8. Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers
Kawhi Leonard comes with the load management baggage, and while he’s great for a team’s championship aspirations, he’s a nightmare for season-ticket holders and overall attendance.
There’s no doubt about his two-way skill on both ends of the floor, but the concern I’d have as his employer would be his willingness to miss games to manage his body. I’m giving him a spot on this list because of the multiple championships, and he’s still only 28.
7. Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
All things being equal, AD is probably one of the top 5 basketball players on the planet. He does come with some injury concerns, but he’s only 26 and has some serious star-power that positively impacts viewership.
His value has slightly diminished after what transpired in New Orleans last season (willfully missing games despite being healthy) which ultimately set the stage for a trade to the Lakers.
