The New York Knicks will not get a top 5 draft pick in this year’s lottery

This is more of an educated guess than a prediction, but I somehow have the most confidence in this one. Right now the New York Knicks are in a position to get the fifth pick in this year’s draft.

They are five games out of the worst record in the NBA. However, as a Knicks fan, I believe the Knicks will find ways to win games down the stretch, worsening their chances at a high draft pick. I also have a strong feeling that the lottery will not be kind to the Knicks this year considering how bad the Knicks have messed up picks in the past, and just how unlucky Knick fans have been since Patrick Ewing left.

I predict that the Knicks will take Onyeka Okongwu in this year’s draft at the No. 7 pick, and add yet another power forward to their roster. Because why not? The Knicks will always find a way to make things much more complicated than it needs to be.
