Richaun Holmes, Sacramento Kings

Sitting within striking distance of the 8th seed in the Western Conference, the Sacramento Kings are the “other” team in the race for the final playoff berth. While they still need a good amount of help from the Grizzlies (and perhaps the Blazers) over the final stretch, the impending return of Richaun Holmes could give this team the boost that they desperately need at the moment.

Holmes has been nursing a shoulder injury and hasn’t played for the Kings since early January, but is expected to make his return soon. Before his injury, Holmes was a key frontcourt cog for the Kings while averaging 13 points and nine rebounds on 66 percent shooting from the floor.

If the Kings are going to sneak up on the Grizzlies for the 8th and final playoff spot, they’re going to need all hands on deck and a big showing from Holmes in his return. If nothing else, the added depth will be a welcomed sight for the Kings heading into the final stretch.
