2. Jake Toolson (BYU, 5th year) ~ 15.2 PPG, 47.2 FG%, 47.0 3P FG%

Let’s hear it for the elder statesman! Jake Toolson has been lethal from deep as he has first in his conference in both field goal and 3-point percentage. What is even better is that he has consistently improved each of his five years in the collegiate ranks.

During his first couple of seasons in college, Toolson shot in the mid-30s in 3-point percentage. Last season, he shot 44 percent from deep and this season he’s improved to 47 percent from 3 on nearly six attempts per contest.

If it was not for Gonzaga dominating the West Coast Conference, we would be seeing the Cougars reign supreme out in Utah on the back of Toolson. He was that valuable for BUY this past season. It’s a shame it had to come to an abrupt ending.
