Miami Heat: 4 encouraging signs from the 2019-20 NBA season
Bam Adebayo is a future superstar
One of the major questions heading into this season for the Heat revolved around Bam Adebayo, who immediately became the new starting center as soon as the team traded Hassan Whiteside over the summer. However, even though many thought he had a high ceiling we never really saw it on a grand scale.
Until now. Through roughly three-fourths of the season, Bam was arguably the favorite to win the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the year award. He was averaging 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists per game on 57 percent shooting from the field.
The best part of it all is that this is just the beginning and he’s just getting started. The future is bright for Bam, and he’s essentially the new face of the Heat (alongside Jimmy Butler). Miami put all their eggs in the Bam basket, and he’s made them look amazingly smart. Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra have done it again.
