Miami Heat: 4 encouraging signs from the 2019-20 NBA season
Jimmy Butler has not been a problem and is a true leader
Another big question for the Heat entering this season surrounding around whether Jimmy Butler was going to be another locker room problem or if he was going to embrace Heat Culture and fit right in as the next star leader that the team needs. With Dwyane Wade retiring, the Heat needed a similar-type voice.
And through nearly one season with the Heat, Jimmy Butler has been that and then some. While he’s had somewhat of a down season in terms of shooting percentages, he was a true locker room force and came up big in some moments when the Heat needed him most.
Butler fit right in with this team and was the epitome of Heat Culture before he even signed with the team over the summer. Perhaps the off-time will help Butler and allow him to reset his jump shot struggles, and if we return at some point in the immediate future we could see the best Butler of the season thus far.
