5. Deni Avdija, F, Israel

Best fit: Detroit Pistons

Deni Avdija is one of the most interesting prospects projected to be in this year’s NBA Draft class. He’s a 6-foot-9 forward that should be able to play at both forward positions and offers a unique playmaking ability that isn’t always present in bigs. It’s what will make him an interesting target for the Detroit Pistons, who could very well use a guard in the top 10.

However, Avdija could be too good to pass up if the Pistons land in the 5-7 range. He would bring the playmaking ability at the forward position and would alleviate the pressure on Blake Griffin, who the team relied so heavily on upon before he was shut down for the season.

Avdija might not be a popular pick, as the average fan doesn’t really keep up with Euro basketball, but once they get a glimpse at his game there’s no question that he’ll fit right into the team’s rebuild.
