7. Tyrese Haliburton, G, Iowa State

Best fit: Atlanta Hawks

Tyrese Haliburton would be an interesting pick for the Atlanta Hawks. With his 6-foot-5 frame, Haliburton would be a fun guard to stick next to Trae Young. While Haliburton has to improve on the defensive end, the potential for him to be a star at the NBA level is very much real. In his sophomore season with Iowa State, Haliburton 16 points, seven assists, and six rebounds per game. He shot 42 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3-point range.

The game would immediately be that much easier for Haliburton, playing next to Young, and he would be joining a team that is building toward something special. Next to Young, Clint Capela, and Cam Reddish, the Hawks would have one of the most compelling young cores in the Eastern Conference.

And it Haliburton explodes next to Young, well, the Hawks would have the NBA’s most dynamic duos in the backcourt as well.
