4. Tyrese Haliburton, point guard, Iowa State

For every John Wall and Ja Morant at the lead guard position is a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who comes out of a respective draft class dripping with cerebral-ness and a silky poise to their game.

Haliburton’s feel for the court is indescribable as he has a knack for feeding his teammates in the flow of the offenses, and the silky smoothness to attack the rack amongst the trees. He’s 6-foot-5 standing height, but his wingspan stretches even longer when he attacks the basket with a smooth abandon.

While his shot form is something that will probably need restructuring at the next level, Haliburton’s playmaking ability (6.5 APG) and defensive intensity (2.0 SPG) are transferable at the next level. He’s already a polished product coming out of Iowa State and if on the right team, can be a glue guy for a rebuilding franchise.
