Injuries

The Pacers battled injuries for basically the entire 2019-20 season. With all of the injuries and all of the new players, the Pacers have had some trouble growing team chemistry. Six top players on the Pacers have missed a combined 105 games.

Oladipo has missed 52 games. Shooting guard Jeremy Lamb has missed 19 games and is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Point guard Malcolm Brogdon has missed 17 games with seven different injuries. Turner missed 10 games early in the season. Small Forward T.J. Warren missed four games and Sabonis missed three games. For the Pacers to play at the level they did with the injuries they had sustained is an impressive feat.

Overall, this season went the best it could considering all of the injuries and new players in Indiana. Despite a 0-3 start and a six-game losing streak later in the season, the season has been a positive one for the Pacers. They beat great teams and they were beating the teams they were supposed to.

Victor Oladipo returned and when the season (hopefully) comes back everyone, besides Lamb, should be healthy for however play is picked up. The Pacers have a chance to make a run in whatever the season’s format will be.
