NBA Mock Draft: LaMelo Ball headlines a class of unknown prospects
7. Chicago Bulls – Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn
The Chicago Bulls are compiling an impressive group of young players on their roster. Even though they have yet to click, there is a reason for hope in Chicago. And with the No. 7 pick, the Bulls can add another promising player in Isaac Okoro.
Okoro is arguably the best defensive prospect on the wing in this draft class and would provide immediate help for the Bulls from day one in that aspect. He will be allowed to grow alongside this young roster and could really benefit from playing next to Coby White and Zach LaVine, who can help carry the offense.
8. Charlotte Hornets – Onyeka Okongwu, C, USC
Ideally, the Charlotte Hornets would be taking a potential future franchise player. However, at No. 8, that simply isn’t very realistic. Hey, maybe they’ll get lucky and land into a future star but the goal for the Hornets would be to take a player that fits the mold and would contribute almost immediately.
That’s what Onyeka Okongwu could provide for the team. He’s the second-best center prospect taken in the top 10 and is a great athlete and would immediately improve their defense in the paint.
