Power Forward: Bobby Jones

This may have been the most difficult decision on the team. Although Charles Barkley is a Hall of Famer and one of the NBA’s greatest 50 players of all-time, I felt like the 76ers needed a rim protector and defensive juggernaut at this position.

Bobby Jones was a four-time All-Star and a member of the NBA’s All-Defensive team for eight consecutive years. Barkley never made the All-Defensive team once in his career. Jones was a 56 percent shooter from the field which is slightly better than Charles Barkley.

Feel free to disagree with me, but the style of Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and Dirk Nowitzki would be too much for the undersized 6-foot-6 Charles Barkley to deal with. Bobby Jones, on the other hand, could defend each of those players in the post. Jones can also switch defensive assignments with the more athletic Wilt Chamberlain, allowing Wilt to deal with any power forwards who decide to stretch the floor.
