Small Forward: Julius Erving

Anyone who considered creating this team without Dr. J just isn’t thinking straight. Imagine him orchestrating the fast-break or catching an alley-oop from one of Philadelphia’s guards. Averaging 22 points per game and 6.7 rebounds a night in his NBA career, Erving definitely deserves a spot in the starting five.

Dr. J is one of the most iconic players in team history and was one of the centerpieces for the Sixers the last time they won an NBA Championship, in which he helped Philly sweep the Lakers in 1983.

Dr. J also proved to be reliable during his time for the Sixers. He played in at least 80 games a season three times in his NBA career. Still not convinced? Let’s just say, if things get physical, Julius Erving is the guy that you want on your team.
