Shooting Guard: Allen Iverson

This was the easiest pick on the entire team. Iverson is arguably one of the greatest two guards in the game. His crossover revolutionized basketball and would be difficult to deal with in any era. He left it all on the floor as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. His heart and desire to win would propel this list of All-Time greats.

Iverson averaged over 30 points per game three times in his NBA career. He did that without being surrounded by the type of talent this all-time team is comprised of. Could you imagine what he would have the ability to accomplish when teams are forced to double team the likes of Dr. J and Wilt Chamberlain? While he’s certainly undersized at the shooting guard position, Iverson was known to play the passing lanes. It led to him becoming a three-time steals champion during his career.

As great as Iverson was as a 76er, we never got to witness him play alongside another great offensive talent in Philadelphia. Although he possessed the ability to be a terrific passer, we never saw that come to fruition in Philly. You could expect his role on this all-time squad to be a mix of scoring machine and facilitator. Not to mention, no one gets the Philly crowd on its feet like A.I.
