Although the NBA season is on hiatus, the league, its players, coaches, and front office personnel are still keeping busy. Including Lakers star, LeBron James.
COVID-19 has impacted the entire sports world in ways it is difficult to comprehend. The current pandemic has set off a chain reaction in the NBA, that currently has no end in sight. Despite the uncertainty, LeBron James and others are not letting the work stoppage slow down their daily lives.
Cody Zeller’s best idea EVER!
I think ESPN should continue to cover professional athletes this week as we each try to learn new skills and hobbies at home in our free time.

A few days later KD made headlines for testing positive for the virus
Durant has not had symptoms and was among four positive test results on the Nets. The two-time NBA Finals MVP's message is one for everyone to heed: Stay quarantined. https://t.co/7E58fcyFjm

This is an awesome question
Our teams delighted and frustrated us, but even the worst NBA team has its own charm.

What do you miss most about your team during the hiatus?
What a stat
Giannis was supposed to host the Heat today.
— Micah Adams (@MAdamsStatGuy) March 16, 2020
He’s averaging 51.6 points + rebounds + assists per game against teams with winning records.
That’s the best by any player over the last 25 years.
The withdrawal is TOO REAL
Any @NBA players going to @YouTube to watch their own highlights due to withdrawals? 😅

You never know what you have, until it’s gone
You know what I'm not hearing much about from NBA Twitter these days? How the NBA regular season just doesn't mean anything. Perhaps missing it for a few months will cause media and fans to reconsider those takes.

LeBron James perfectly sums up how fellow players and fans are feeling
LeBron James via IG Live: "I miss playing ball. I miss doing what I do. I miss being in front of the Laker faithful. I miss being in front of the opposing fans when I'm on the road. We were at a point in the season where we were hitting our stride and gearing up for the playoffs"
— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) March 20, 2020
LeBron, like many other NBA athletes, has taken to Instagram live to pass the time. I watched most of LeBron’s IG chat, my two favorite parts were when he gave a sarcastic remark when YouTube star Savannah LaBrant asked if he had kids, then he ignored LaBrant once she began spamming him asking if his kids watch the LeBrant Family on YouTube.
My second favorite part came when James was joined by his daughter, Zhuri, near the end of the stream, as they shared an insightful conversation about a popsicle.
Happy Birthday Jamal Crawford
Hope it is your happiest yet, Jamal. You are often in our thoughts. https://t.co/Kvi4TdrQcC
— Ralph Lawler (@Ohmeomy) March 21, 2020
For a very long time, I wanted to write an article about why a team should sign Jamal Crawford. The aspect I overlooked was the off-chance Crawford did not want to play NBA basketball anymore. Perhaps teams have offered, but Crawford opted to be a full-time girl dad instead.
Until next week, stay safe, stay healthy. We will get through all of this together.
