4. John Wall, Washington Wizards (2010)
NBA career stats: 19 points, 9.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds
Back in 2010, the Washington Wizards drafted John Wall. Even though the Wizards haven’t seen the promised land since making the selection, they have become somewhat relevant since. They came one game from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals a few years ago, and now have one of the most dynamic backcourts in the NBA (along with Bradley Beal).
Still, Wall is coming off an Achilles injury and there’s no knowing how he’s going to look next season, once he finally makes his return from injury. With that said, even if Wall is never the player he once was, he’ll be remembered fondly in Washington. He was a perennial all-star and one of the most entertaining players in the league for a very long time.
At the age of 29, considering the injury that he’s coming back from, his best individual basketball years are likely behind him, but he could still play a vital role for the Wizards moving forward. Hopefully, he returns and is able to pick up where he left off.
