Anzejs Pasecniks: A

The Wizards picked up the former first-round draft choice from the discard pile (Thanks, Philly!) and got real production. Early in the year, it looked like Anzejs Pasecniks would need more time in the G League to develop but injuries forced him into the rotation. The pleasant surprise of many, he mostly looked like he belonged. I don’t see him ever developing into Nikola Jokic but the Wizards have certainly had worse third centers in the past.

Isaac Bonga: B-

I’m honestly not sure what Isaac Bonga’s ceiling is. As of now, he’s long, plays defense, and handles the ball okay for his size. But he doesn’t really shoot it and given his mechanics, I’m not sure he ever will.

Could he be a small-ball five who can push the ball in transition? Is he a stopper on the wing like a Michael Kidd-Gilchrist? Nothing wrong with just being a cheap, young option at the end of the rotation but it would be good to start identifying a role for him. Bonga is probably the player I would be most interested to hear the front office’s candid evaluation of.
