11. San Antonio Spurs: Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky

I have a feeling that Tyrese Maxey is going to be a player that will jump up draft boards if given the opportunity in any pre-draft process. And he’d be a great fit for the San Antonio Spurs, who will likely be hitting somewhat of a pivot this offseason. They will likely move on from DeMar DeRozan and will look for help in the backcourt via the draft.

Tyrese Maxey, during his freshman season at Kentucky, averaged 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists on 43 percent shooting from the field. Again, his shooting splits weren’t great, but this is a player that showed the offensive ability that is not often able to be taught. His game has some developing to do, but what better place to get mentorship than in San Antonio?

Maxey likely isn’t a player that is going to change the course of a franchise, but he’s certainly a solid player that could find his way into the rotation for a team like the Spurs. And, who knows, maybe San Antonio finds another gem at No. 11.
